BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join General Accountant at our SLP PDS Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Controlling Supervisor, the General Accountant plan the Company's accounting activities, controlling and verifying the processes of recording, classifying and accounting of the accounting movement, in order to ensure that the financial statements are reliable and timely; In addition, he is responsible for complying with local and corporate policies, testing existing financial controls, as well as proposing modifications if deemed necessary. In addition, it will carry out the necessary investigations and tests to identify and resolve risks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the information that is handled and recorded in the accounting control of the company.

  • Authorize and ensure the correct accounting of journal policies.

  • Ensure that payroll is correctly recorded. G/L account reconciliations.

  • Review the total reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and ensure that the requirements set forth in the company's policy are met.

  • Prepare financial statements.

  • Develop procedures according to your area.

  • Attention to internal and external audits (control and financial).

  • Support in the revision of Flowcharts, work instructions, formats and procedures of the different areas.

  • Quarterly Review of Narratives Report information in One Stream (corporate reporting system).

Qualifications

  • Education: Certified Public Accountant or Bachelor's Degree in Administration.

  • Time of experience in a similar position: 5 years or more in a similar position. Technical knowledge required: General accounting, taxes, fixed asset management, preparation and interpretation of financial statements, audit attendance.

  • Other requirements: Microsoft Office, SAP, ERP system, financial reporting standards.
