BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join Coordinator Logistic at our SLP PDS Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the PC&L Manager, the Coordinator Logistic is the mainly responsible for managing maritime import/export operations and managing cargoes and expedited to expedite shipments, in order to obtain the material at the right time and with the right costs. Track maritime operations, cargoes and shipping costs and provide monthly and annual forecasts. Responsible for providing follow-up to maritime operations, cargoes and shipments to internal and external clients.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides excellent and timely customer service, proactively informing internal and external customers about the status of their shipments, answering and referring advanced technical questions to the appropriate staff.

  • It provides a level of service for ocean, cargo and expedited operations.

  • Provides a weekly, monthly, and yearly expedited expense report.

  • Look for other options for maritime operations, loading and expedited from suppliers where an opportunity for savings is detected.

  • Act on delays by providing troubleshooting.

  • Handles claims for maritime operations and expedited supplier operations, where applicable.

  • Responsible for approving supplier invoices through the US Bank process.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, International Trade, or Business Administration

  • Time of experience in similar position: 4 years of experience in logistics and field related to Supply Chain Management. 4 years of relevant experience in maritime operations, cargo and expedited. Technical Knowledge Required: Knowledge about Incoterms ERP System

  • Other requirements: Microsoft Office
