DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA), Inc. seeks a Sr. Electrification Engineer based out of our office at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 10%.

Leading the Electrified Powertrain Software calibration & robustness process deployment, and mentor multi-disciplinary System Engineers on the same. Be responsible for establishing methods and own overall calibrations for Electrified Powertrain Software, and championing data acquisition on MIL, HIL, and Dyne, analysis of data, and applying data analysis results back into the module for algorithm improvement, robustness, & calibration. Work with cross-functional Teams to develop requirements, definitions, and algorithms for automotive Electrified Powertrain. Validate and improve algorithms per standard V-cycle processes. Apply Electrified Powertrain Calibration, OBD, and Controls knowledge gained from prior education/experience to accelerate the development of Electrified Powertrain Software algorithms, while bringing out-of-box thinking to the Team. Work with the Application Team and support/facilitate test trips with tight Project timelines. Interface and co-ordinate with Software and IT&V engineering to support development and debugging for the owned modules. Participate in design reviews with internal engineering group, suppliers, and customers.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering, and 60 months of experience in job offered or related. Experience must include: experience with INCA, Matlab; experience reading C & C++ code; experience in automotive systems and software development processes using the V-Model for both design and verification/validation activities; experience with electrified powertrains; experience applying DFSS or similar techniques; experience using MIL/SIL/HIL environments; experience with OBD testing for Powertrain modules.

This position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 10%.
