Engine Timing Components Plant Functions

How would you like to be able to tell your friends and family that you helped design and/or manufacture the timing system that is in the vehicle they drive everyday? Well, that’s what we do here, design and manufacture engine timing systems for the auto industry.

As a Product Engineering Co-op in ETC, these are some of the things that you will be introduced to:

• Hands on training with design and engineering tools
• Application of CAD practices, including GD&T
• Benchmark competitive systems and components
• Learn and utilize measurement system hardware / software
• Design fixtures for various component tests
• Schedule and track component testing
• Interpret and present test results
• Build and test prototypes
• Work with suppliers and familiarize yourself with:
• Injection molding, Aluminum die casting, Powder metal technology, Metal stamping,
• Machining operations
• Support problem solving from an engineering standpoint

Compensation

Co-op compensation is determined by class level (ie: freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate, etc).

Pay range: $16.82 - $24.26
