Job Purpose

Define, size and control all of BorgWarner ETTS Viana packaging, in internal collaboration with the different departments, both for current projects and new ones that may arise, whether from customers or suppliers.
Carry out analyzes and studies on current packaging in order to obtain the possible standardization of them, as well as present possible savings that may arise.

Location

Viana do Castelo plant, Portugal

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze, study, create and approve packaging ranges with customers
  • Standardization of alternative packaging with clients
  • Optimization of packaging proposed to customers
  • Ensure that all BOMs are up to date with the proposed packaging, both standard and alternative
  • Keep SAP packaging ranges updated
  • Manage all Customer Packaging Ranges on the portals and update them internally
  • Management of all Customer Standards

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field will be valued.
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be valued.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (preferred).
  • Experience in Logistics/Packaging Development (preferred);
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, namely Excel;
  • Knowledge of SAP;
  • Knowledge of AutoCad;
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency level of Portuguese (spoken and written)
