POSITION SUMMARY:

 Co-Op would assist Engineer in designs and drafting systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers. Co-Op would assist engineer to outline engineering work requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.  This involves carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.  The position demands work experience acquired in an entry level position or an appropriate under-graduate level study.  For training and development purposes, assignments may include work that is typical of a higher-level position/education.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Discusses project with supervisor and other engineers to review functions of machines and equipment.
• Co-Op Projects depend on availability and beginning skill level.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Undergraduate study in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education and experience combined.
• Basic understanding of complex design drawings, layouts, stack-ups, and verbal design instructions, and understanding and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient computer literacy, including Windows/Microsoft based software applications and AutoCad experience
• Results-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight time constraints
