The Shipping and Receiving Team Lead will be a key role in overseeing and participating in Material Handling and Inventory Control. The focus of this position will be to maintain flow of material to production and maintain warehouse control.

Job purpose

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will be a key role in leading and participating in Material Handling and Inventory Control. The focus of this position will be to maintain flow of material to production and maintain warehouse control.

Key responsibilities

• Collaboration with multiple departments
• Communicate with outbound and inbound traffic
• Process inbound (UPS, LTL, FTL) and determine disposition
• Ensure delivery routes are being followed and stocked
• Ensure inbound material is checked in good condition
• Process finished good to prepare for shipping
• Maintain warehouse organization (Layout)
• Material delivery to production
• Cycle counts

What we’re looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent is required and will be validated.
• 2 years minimum warehouse experience
• Manufacturing work experience required
• Ability to delegate tasks
• Strong background in SAP
• Valid forklift driver’s license and ideally ADR license or experience handling hazardous goods
• Team player with a pioneer mentality
• Ability to be a self-starter who is proactive with making decisions
• Ability to solve problems and deal with conflicts as well as assertiveness and strong communication skills
