BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Customer Planner at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure compliance to company and business policies and administer open sales orders and ensure appropriate order flow.
  • Manage communication with customer and sales department to ensure process customer orders and shipment of products.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer schedules and ensure accurate billing of bookings.
  • On everyday basis manage shipment and respond to inquiries for status order and resolve customer issues and prepare efficient schedule for projects.
  • Monitor and process all returns according to financial requirements and ensure compliance to all SOX reporting requirements.
  • Ensure optimal practices for all processes.
  • Monitor customer performance and evaluate orders and provide required approvals.
  • Perform customer and production waterfall analysis to ensure good internal and external information flow to take decision aligned with defined strategy.
  • Evaluate all weekly metrics, identify, and mitigate risks, as well analyze all continuous improvement project

Main KPI:

  • Delivery performance to Customer – OTTR (On Time to Request).
  • Regular & Premium freight costs.
  • Finished Goods DOH.
  • Client acquisition and retention.
  • Excess & Obsolete.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor 's Degree in Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Business Management or equivalent is required
  • 5 years + of Customer planning experience working in an automotive production environment
  • Experience in automotive and /or EMS industry is an advantage
  • Negotiation Experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, eRFQ, Web based Intranet Systems, MRP systems knowledge a plus
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and keen approach to learning, etc.
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Critical Analysis Skills
  • Structured individual with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and able to deal with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize work accordingly
  • Must be able to work alone with minimum guidance, but also be able to operate effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be self-motivated/directed. Required to determine most, if not all, of own work assignments; both tactical and strategic. Requires minimal management input to achieve objectives.
