The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Data Architect plays a critical role in providing data integration and data migration services in support of several IT and business transformation initiatives for the enterprise. The successful candidate will develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies, considering data quality, integrity, security, and compliance requirements. The ERP Data Architect will determine the appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies to be used for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, as well as collaborate with business resources to document and refine the rules and procedures for data cleansing.

POSITION SUMMARY
The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Data Architect plays a critical role in providing data integration and data migration services in support of several IT and business transformation initiatives for the enterprise. The successful candidate will develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies, considering data quality, integrity, security, and compliance requirements. The ERP Data Architect will determine the appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies to be used for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, as well as collaborate with business resources to document and refine the rules and procedures for data cleansing.

 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•    Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify business needs and opportunities and provide strategic guidance on data migration solutions.
•    Work in conjunction with external systems integrators and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of quality data migrations.
•    Review legacy system landscape, future landscape and advise tools & methodologies for data migration.
•    Support scoping and estimation of data migration projects
•    Conduct data governance workshops and support the implementation of data governance solutions.
•    Define and leverage data migration methodology/playbook to standardize and accelerate the execution of data migration projects.
•    Leverage processes and tools to execute data migration consistently with quality.
•    Responsible for the management of the data migration task lists and update the plan. 
•    Define, monitor, and report key data migration metrics to the PMO on weekly basis.
•    Ensure execution of data migration tasks in a timely manner and escalate when there is a slippage.
•    Manage dependencies between the project milestone dates and data migration due dates.
•    Support building cutover plans for ERP migrations and implementations. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•    Bachelor’s degree related to computer science, such as a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
•    Minimum 7 years of experience in leading SAP data migrations
•    At least 5 end to end implementations of data migration projects.
•    Deep understanding of SAP Master data
•    Proven business facing skills.
•    Excellent communication skills.

KEY COMPETENCIES
•    Working knowledge of planning and executing data migration projects within SAP environments. 
•    Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, data mapping, data cleansing, and validation techniques specific to SAP systems.
•    Understanding of SAP ERP core data models, data structures, and data flows.
•    Proficiency in SAP Data Services, SAP LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench), or other relevant data migration tools and technologies within the SAP ecosystem.
•    Proficiency in data analysis and mapping techniques to understand data structures, relationships, and transformation requirements between source and target systems. 
•    Ability to define data mapping rules, data extraction strategies, and data transformation logic for the migration process.
