BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Test Development Engineer.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Utilize National Instruments PXI based hardware and software systems for test development with primary focus on test systems applications for Automotive Inverters
  • Manage the Validation Process activities during the product design cycle from product concept to production launch.
  • Manage critical path timing issues to ensure on time test development completion.
  • Responsible for requirements analysis. 
  • Analysis of test data and comparison to requirements.
  • Be involved in continuous improvement and maintenance of the validation test equipment.

Essential requirements:

  • University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Bachelor/Masters. Or, Technician with strong experience in test and validation of complex system (Software and Hardware).
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the area of manufacturing process, especially electronic product testing.
  • Familiarity with test equipment: i.e. Digital Multi Meters, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Power Supply, oscilloscopes, and etc.
  • Proven ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Programming experience in C/C++, LabView, TestStand, and LabWindows. Microprocessor knowledge.
  • Experienced in Excel VBA macro development.
  • A strong working knowledge of computers, MS Office applications, and a drawing package such as Visio, Circad or etc. is required.
  • Experience with circuit design.
  • Good communication skills are essential
  • Fluency in English is required. German/French would be an advantage.
