Products and solutions range from existing portfolio Power Electronics - BorgWarner, but go far beyond and will include NPIs as well as applications projects.
Job purpose
In this role, the supervisor of the electrical hardware architecture team leads a small engineering group developing embedded hardware for automotive powertrain applications. Their team is responsible for customer communication on HW topics, requirements analysis, high level product definition, development of test plans, product tests, reporting and failure analysis. You will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined team, working on latest state of the art automotive powertrain electronics for battery electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid mass market.
Your responsibilities
Lead and manage team of electrical hardware architects engineering located in Krakow Technical Center
Monitor team performance on project critical key characteristics, adjust staffing & methods to achieve goals, resource planning.
Ensure team’s process compliance: guide team in development process implementation, monitoring, and improvements.
Support hiring and interview candidates.
Setting goals and performance reviews of direct reports
Manages team skill set, training and development plan.
Support local site management to define and procure local bench setups.
Support any project audits where the team is involved.
What we are looking for
Masters Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic or an associated field.
5 years of experience in Automotive Electronic or e-Mobility (Hardware).
2 years of team lead experience.
Good foundation knowledge in hardware embedded systems.
Must be highly aware and adhere to high voltage safety standards and procedures.
Experienced with ALM/PLM requirement & change management tools.
Experience within effective problem-solving methodologies.
Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills are required.
Strong communication skills are essential.
Works under limited supervision.
Experience with AIAG/VDA FMEA, ISO26262 and Automotive SPICE are beneficial.
Fluency in English is required.
