BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Start Center Mechanical Designer at our Luxembourg Technical Center (LTC) with location in Bascharage, Luxembourg.

The Start Center Mechanical Designer is responsible for providing the functional expertise and skills needed to create design concepts for various power electronics products based on customer specific requirements.

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Start Center Mechanical Designer at our Luxembourg Technical Center (LTC) with location in Bascharage, Luxembourg.

The Start Center Mechanical Designer is responsible for providing the functional expertise and skills needed to create design concepts for various power electronics products based on customer specific requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Mechanical design of Power Electronic Product such as Inverter, On-Board-Charger, DCDC Converter, etc. …
  • Responsible of the CAD model development in close collaboration with the Mechanical Engineer and other functions
  • Manage CAD Data transfer with various customers
  • Support customer technical meetings such as concept package review, etc. …
  • Provide CAD models to other functional experts allowing the generation of various analysis work
  • Provide support data to enable other functional experts to estimate custom mechanical part costs
  • Provide mechanical / packaging information to other functional experts as needed
  • Support internal and customer technical review material creation as needed
  • Think of ways / method to reduce cost

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required
  • 5 years of experience as Mechanical Design Engineer minimum
  • 3+ years of experience working on Power Electronics Products preferred
  • Experience as Lead Mechanical Designer in the automotive industry is preferred
  • Good knowledge of GD&T
  • Fluency in English is required, French and/or German is preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • PC literate : MS Office, CAD Program (Siemens Teamcenter & NX)
  • Domestic and International travel without Visa limitations preferred
