Manager, Supply Chain Senior

Leads, directs and coordinates all purchasing efforts in the day-to-day operations of the Morse Ningbo plant. Responsibilities include supplier management, new supplier development, product development, RFQ, price negotiation, etc.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

1. Lead all aspects of supplier identification, development, assessment and certification.

2. Champion supply base rationalization initiatives.

3. Ensure early supplier involvement and capability assessment in re-sourcing, product development, VA-VE and new product launch.

4. Develop strategies and lead programs to achieve supplier productivity, cost reduction and PPV objectives. Achieve stretch goals for PPV and supplier cost reduction. Develop strategies and tactics to minimize the impact of commodity price increases.

5. Upgrade purchasing team skills and capabilities.

6. Lead purchasing negotiations to standardize and optimized purchasing terms and conditions.

7. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.

8. Directly responsible for purchases direct and indirect material. Take part of ownership in inventory levels, premium freight and transportation costs.

9. This position requires a high degree of individual initiative. It’s a key member of the plant Leadership Team and participate in businesses strategy development.

10. Significantly increase inventory turns and minimize working capital requirements.

11. Manages employees in purchasing. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

12. Strictly abide the EHS rules and regulations and behavior guideline in the plant; wear PPE in right way; actively participate in EHS training; do housekeeping at work; report accidents and unsafe issues immediately join the accident disposal. Specific presentations can be reached in TMS system and individual job description.

13. Deliver the safety, health and environmental policy to venders, and ensure that the material, chemicals provided be compliance with the EHS legal requirements and standards.

14. Be responsible for all safety related for SCM department.

15. Know of the energy management system, energy management system related requirements involved into equipment purchase process.

16. Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
